Where the energy and soul of old New York is restored. That’s the tagline of a new artful luxury hotel in Midtown New York City. What was once home to working artist studios and inspired lofts has become one of Manhattan’s most unique and visually compelling hotels – The Renwick. The loft-style room hotel takes its name from James Renwick, Jr., the highly acclaimed architect best known for his design of St. Patrick’s Cathedral.
Expected to open in 2015, Kenseal Construction Products has had the opportunity to supply specialty materials for this project. Our New York team has a strong relationship with, Laticrete, the premier manufacturer of ceramic tile and stone installation systems. Kenseal supplied innovative Laticrete products for 226 bathrooms, measuring a total of 642,000 square feet. The products used include:
Laticrete Hydro Ban® – a thin, load bearing waterproofing/crack isolation membrane that DOES NOT require the use of fabric, even in coves or corners.
Laticrete Mastic – a non-flammable, ready to use latex adhesive designed for interior installations of ceramic tile and natural stone on both floors and walls.
Laticrete SpectraLOCK® – stainproof, color uniform and grout.
Laticrete 9235 Waterproofing Membrane – is a thin, load bearing waterproofing designed specifically for the special requirements of ceramic tile, stone and brick installation.
Kenseal is proud to be part of the construction of this one-of-a-kind hotel ideally located at 40th Street between Park and Lexington Avenue.
