The World Trade Center Transportation Hub is expected to open early this year after over 12 years of design, planning and construction. The structure located in the Lower Manhattan Financial District of New York will deliver unmatched mass transit connecting 11 subway lines, the PATH system, several MTA bus routes, ferry service, and parking garages. At approximately 800,000 square feet, the new hub will serve over 200,000 daily commuters and millions of annual visitors from around the world. The Hub features an “Oculus” design, which will give the facility a distinctive, wing-like appearance. When completed the upper portion of the Transportation Hub, will serve as the main concourse including multi-level retail and restaurant space.
Located in the heart of New York City, storage space was very limited at the project site, which caused a great challenge for a valued Kenseal customer. Fortunately, Kenseal has three locations conveniently located throughout the city, one of which, the Brooklyn warehouse, is located in near proximity to the construction site. Kenseal stored material in Brooklyn and Avi Siwlal, Kenseal Sales Representative, alongside the Kenseal operations team, worked closely with our valued customer to ensure material was delivered frequently and on time daily. The high-profile job was a great success, a project Kenseal was proud to be part of!
